Lewes Bonfire Night 2011

Lewes Bonfire Night attracts thousands of people to celebrations every November 5. Parades through the centre of town, followed by bonfires and fireworks, make it an amazing sight every year.

  1. 1st Lewes effigy sighting so far: Rupert Murdoch & Rebekah Wade wheeling past Waitrose. Doubt my request for an Alain Rolland got through
  2. Latest reports are that around 2,500 people are at Brighton Railway Station waiting to get to Lewes #lewesbonfire
  3. Police reported five injuries before 6pm. Some people don't follow the firework code
  4. Transport Police just stopped some people setting off fireworks at London Road (Brighton) station - it's only the 5th Nov #lewesbonfire
  5. If there is one thing that we in #Sussex do better than any other county, it is celebrate bonfire night! #Lewesbonfire
