Global eLiteracy: Leading the reinvention of learning

  1. The SLAV Global eLiteracy conference was held in Melbourne on July 27, 2012. Participants heard from speakers who explored the changing face of learning in a digital age. Shared notes and presentations from the day can be found here.

  3. Judy O'Connell kicked off the day by setting the scene regarding the digital landscape. Judy demonstrated the incredible possibilities of technology as a participatory medium, where we can all invent, design, create, build and share.

  14. Jenny Luca from Toorak College provided an outline of the important work of Teacher Librarians in the context of this digital age. She sounded a rallying call for all in her profession, describing this moment as a 'tipping point' where Teacher Librarians must become more proactive in learning and teaching digital skills.
