1. I once had an idea for a book that would promote the subject of my screenplay 10-13 (Officer Down). That book was Queens Reigns Supreme.
  2. After my implication in the JMJ affair several journalists contacted me and Ethan Brown was one. They wanted everything and offered nothing.
  3. As is my custom I made the situation work for me by pitching an exclusive to Playboy Magazine unbeknownst to my attorney.
  4. Playboy is an American Institution and as white bread as can be making it perfect for my plans because mainstream is all that matters. Sadly
  5. On a conference call I convinced executives at Playboy my story could bring in more urban readers than the Blu Cantrell centerfold planned.
  6. Needless to say I debuted in Playboy as a writer and subject while Blu Cantrell was featured in Black Tail or some other smut publication.
  7. I demonstrated an ability to penetrate a world often off limits to media of any persuasion. It also served as a warning to all. Don't sleep!
  8. Frank Owen who wrote the Playboy feature wanted my help for a book deal. He offered 10% back end royalties but not the advance.
  9. In other words he wanted me to work for free. He also suggested I sleep on his couch while we work on the book. Typical white arrogance.
  10. It's amazing how dumb people actually believe we are. It's even more amazing when those harboring such sentiments are cerebrally challenged
  11. I rejected Frank's "offer" and contacted Ethan who had unsuccessfully pitched book ideas. I gave him his first Marketable book idea.
  12. We were given a paltry 25k book advance. It didn't take long for me to see amnesia and ingratitude exist in all races. lol
  13. The Paradox in our arrangement is I proved to be more Jewish than he and he proved to be more n...., well you know the rest, than me. lmao!
  14. Ethan wanted to call Quens Reigns Supreme, "Hell up in Hollis." I suggested QRS as a long overdue response to KRS-One's "Bridge is Over." HA
  15. KRS-One stands for Knowledge Reigns Supreme Over Nearly Every One. I had a different understanding. QUEENS REINGS SUPREME! What!!! lol
  16. Rather than give me credit by name Ethan dedicated the book to the Snake Charmer forcing me to publicly claim a name a few used privately.
  17. It was his way of denying me the fruits of my idea, labor and contacts. It failed. What is for me no one can deny me.
  18. Next came BET's American Gangster series. They wanted Fat Cat but Ethan had no ties to any of the people in the book from THAT world.
  19. The travesty is had I been the author the book would've been overlooked. Nothing like white validation to add value. Even among our own.
  20. I reached out to Nelson George to offer my services as a consultant, After a rocky start Nelson and I got along quite well.
  21. I was offered 2k as a consultant. lol Luckily for them I play for position not paper. This was my shot to promote the subject of my script!
  22. They realized my value and extended an invite to work 2 subsequent seasons as a producer of the Supreme McGriff and Shower Posse episodes.
  23. I also did interviews for the Larry Davis episode and helped @djvlad get his 1st producer credit with the Romper Room gang.
  24. One day in LA I ran into 50 Cent, met with Aaron Shuster and also met with Nelson George. I realized I had little in common with any of them
  25. I began to question if Entertainment was right for me. I'm so goal oriented I never considered the make-up of the people I'd encounter.
