Chicago Teacher's Strike

Chicago public school teachers began manning picket lines instead of classrooms Monday, launching the first teacher strike in the city in 25 years over pay, benefits and other issues. - CNN

  1. The strike, announced Sunday night, left about 350,000 students without a school to attend and parents scrambling to find alternatives.

    Yes the kids are out of school but until they reach a agreement I think parents can fill the void to be able to teach their children.

    For parents that don't work and their kids are not in school, you are their first teacher! You can teach them as well! Buy activity books!!!
