  4. @ASegar Hi Adrian, glad you could make it. How do u fit speakers into ur participant-driven events? #eventprofs
  5. Q1: Where do you begin search for speakers for an event? #eventprofs
  6. @booktospeak At longer events we'll include traditional predetermined sessions. #eventprofs
  7. Yes! @asegar One change I'd like to suggest. I prefer "presenters" to "speakers". I don't want to just listen all the time :) #eventprofs
  8. @booktospeak I have discovered some of the most knowledgeable and engaging speakers through participant recommendations #eventprofs A1
  9. A1 Recommendations from a program committee or the event's community are the 1st places I'll look for presenters #eventprofs
  10. A1: When I planned events, we wud look at industry & c who's active & try to invite them to share their message. #eventprofs
  11. Agree RT @LoisMarketing: I've discovered some of the most knowledgeable/ engaging speakers through participant recos #eventprofs #eventprofs
  12. Also a great way to win participation and support of the event -- by involving members/attendee feedback in planning #eventprofs A1
  13. @LoisMarketing Hi Lois, yes attendee feedback is key to attracting more next time around! #eventprofs
  14. May be jumping ahead w this -- forgive me if I am! -- but SoMe have been great source for speakers as well as for opps for me #eventprofs A1
  15. Q2: How important is there social media presence to ur research? #eventprofs
  16. @booktospeak I lean towards community recommendations; otherwise same old/same old suggestions can reappear #eventprofs
  17. @booktospeak LOL! I knew I was jumping ahead! Have signed speakers and received great recommendations via SoMe community #eventprofs A2
  18. A2 SoMe is becoming an increasingly important place to check on presenters. All else equal, I prefer folks who engage there #eventprofs
  19. @ASegar Yes, when I planned I fought board's recommendations since they seemed to be 90% the same every year. #eventprofs
  20. SoMe not only good direct source for presenters but way to seek out those knowledgeable in industry/trade for recommendations #eventprofs
  21. RT @ASegar: SoMe is becoming increasingly important place 2 check on presenters. All else equal I prefer folks who engage there #eventprofs
  22. @booktospeak SoMe allow me to connect with many in clients' industries/trades/professional organizations. #eventprofs
