Heartbroken by the fact that my @Gam is bummed she can't watch Pats game today (not being aired in FL). I CAN'T WAIT for someone to fix TV.

@dens It's being aired in FL if you pay the right company for it, no? I don't know if "fixed" TV is going to be cheaper. Why would it be?

@fromedome She's not going to switch to Direct TV. Looking fwd to buying her a new 46" Apple TV 2.0 that allows her to pay $2.99 to watch it

@dens That sounds awesome, and would love to see Apple spend its billions of NFL license. But not sure they'd sell for $3 with those costs.

@dens But if they did, it would be awesome. (I do think Sunday Ticket streaming at $400 or whatever is kinda nuts.)

@fromedome Well this idea of haves and have nots depending on whether you have Time Warner vs Verizon is stupid and broken.

@dens @fromedome yup! dirty little secret w unbundling is that unless cost structure changes too, individual shows/channels won't be cheap

@joemcmackin @fromedome This is what we gonna to today (get her a login). But watching Pats game shouldn't be exercise in tech support.

@dens I agree. Thus my post about the importance of cable seeing their product as a platform: http://t.co/epxd8CIz

@dens But it comes down to tradeoff between money (NFL wants its TV $$) and giving people what they want. With media cos, money usually wins

@fromedome Only fix = more #cutthecord. Stop buying albums & you get mp3 singles for sale. Stop subs to cable & maybe we can buy shows.

@dens I have studied for a while and it is a clusterfuck. Companies not desperate enough yet to do anything drastic. Won't be for a while.

@dens I actually think most people are pretty satisfied with their cable/sat. subscription. (I am.)

@dens Anyway, we could talk about this forever. I admire your activism. But I think you don't watch as much TV as most people do.

@dens Which is a good thing. But don't underestimate how lazy and addicted to TV most Americans are. W/ bad tech skills.

@hunterwalk And that's the thing. If YouTube Channels are effin good, and they redirect viewers, they might make big diff. But, big IF.

@hunterwalk For me it starts here. Using TWC login to watch live sports on my iPad via BTN and ESPN. Adds lot of value. http://t.co/lhGJXzk2

@fromedome yup, there's no reason that your sub shouldn't allow you cross-platform viewing behind login. Let's talk more over coffee one day

@hunterwalk But then there is the huge frustration that TWC and HBO can't work their divorce out to give us HBO TO GO. Then I get mad!

@fromedome Mark my words: TV won't be the killer app for Apple TV. It'll br ambient data screensavers & Google/Siri hanging on your wall.

@dens I'd love that. And that's where media companies being shitty software companies will burn them. Could shift power and open things up.
