Finding the right answer: it's Symplur with tweetchats

Participating in health-related tweetchats can be a great way of finding the right answer to your question. Symplur is the industry standard for finding, reviewing and analysing tweetchats.

  1. Tweetchats can provide an excellent way of acquiring high-quality answers to questions from every arena of the health conversation.

Symplur (formerly Healthcare Hashtags) is the industry-standard means of identifying, following, and attaining archives of the very best health conversations that are taking place across the social web in regular tweetchats and at conferences.

Here is an example of what I consider (as a co-founder ;)) to be a tweetchat at its best: Healthcare Social Media Europe (@hcsmeu; #hcsmeu) which convenes every Friday at noon UK time, 1pm CET. A full archive of more than 120 tweetchats that have taken place since August 2009 can be found here. The #hcsmeu archive links redirect to Symplur as our trusted content partner.

#hcsmeu BG: We are in process of setting up an unbranded patient community for a pharma co. Should it be monitored/moderated? If so, by who?

Many legal questions RE Q1 #hcsmeu if we dive deeper to what the site is for really. Ethics is another additional Q...

RE Q1 - also the relatively new cookie-law should be followed - many times left out of the planning ... #hcsmeu

@MattHut I would think "unbranded but supported by a pharma" isn't the best approach; transparency is vital #hcsmeu

Regulations broadly state if an adverse event is reported, it has to be followed up, so if pharma-sponsored then they must monitor #hcsmeu

Morally-speaking, pharma should be in support too but the transparency question remains; I'd be uneasy about anonymous management #hcsmeu

@MattHut Again, it depends if the pharma name is over the door. If yes, then they should moderate, if not, why are they involved? #hcsmeu
