Giving Racism The Finger
"All Together Now", a new Australian non-profit organisation, launched our first campaign Give Racism The Finger in May 2011 in collaboration with The Body Shop and Shift Communications.
- We interviewed some staff working in The Body Shop about why they thought a campaign to erase racism is important.
- We kicked off the campaign with a joint media release...
- We used a combination of interviews, university research and experience to produce some provocative campaign designs to promote the campaign on stickers, tshirts, posters and postcards.
- Like-minded organisations were among our biggest advocates, getting the word out that people should speak up when they witness racism.
Some tweets and retweets by celebrities, sportspeople and business leaders helped get the word out
