@abcnews @collettabc I studied Science because I love formulas, experiments, maths &equations, and I can't write an essay to save my life!!
@collettabc totally science oriented till Yr10, then Chem teach. spoke little English & physics teach.just told jokes. Changed to humanities

@collettabc studied science @ school & uni. Dad was an industrial chemist. All siblings went into science & looks like my kids will too.
@collettabc I was asked by my physics teacher to choose another subject - also told I could not take Latin! Dream thiefs!
@collettabc I've got 4 boys, all fascinated by science, the universe, natural sciences - but by 6th grade my 11yr old hates school science- @collettabc it's all in the teaching & engagement of students. In my exp w/boys it has to be about experiments, blowing things up, craziness

@abcnews @collettabc I did a science, Physics but wished I hadn't after noticing that the UAI scaled down the mark, rather than up.
@collettabc I studied science because it's in the family- my dad is a chemist, so from a young age I was exposed to talk about science.
@collettabc I stopped studying it after year 9 (or 10?) when we got to chose our subjects. Maybe because I wanted to become a journalist...

@collettabc @abcnews @ScientistMags I did. I was the only one in my year who did all three sciences. Wanted to be a vet. Just finished phd.

@collettabc I did bio w/ humanities subjects to cut down essay writing. Did well in both. Chose bio because it's more "real life" relevant

@collettabc finished year 12 in 1987 - studied physics and chemistry as found interesting and wanted better understanding of physical world

@collettabc Didn't study much Sci at high school and didn't do well at what I did study. Now doing enviro Sci at Uni and doing well.
