Day 3: ALF and NCSC
Three Days | Two conferences | One focus: LEADERSHIP Welcome to the 2013 Annual Leadership Forum (ALF) and National Conference of Special Constituencies (NCSC) — three days of high-energy leadership training with hundreds of current and aspiring leaders in family medicine.
Annual Leadership Forum (ALF)
ALF is the AAFP’s leadership development program for chapter-elected leaders, aspiring leaders, and chapter staff. Engage in the online discussion at #AAFPALF.
- The day started with a breakfast for chapter presidents and presidents-elect.
- Then it was on to more breakout sessions with information about research proposal writing, member communications, AAFP resources for chapters, workforce issues and helping members prepare for and recover from disasters.
National Conference of Special Constituencies (NCSC)
NCSC is the AAFP’s forum to address member issues specific to women, minorities, new physicians, international medical graduates, and GLBT physicians. The conference is an opportunity for members of these underrepresented constituencies to voice their individual and group perspectives. Engage in the online discussion at #AAFPNCSC.
- Delegates attended the business session to debate -- and vote -- on a wide range of issues.
- And with that, the curtain falls on the 2013 ALF and NCSC confernces. Until next year!!
