SFJ Conference 2012: Daily Wrap-Up, Day 2

Day two of #SFJ12 included a guided tour of the Newseum, the awarding of several prizes and positions and talks on covering the White House and the future of digital journalism.

  1. Society for Features Journalism wants to thank our all-star tweeters who have been providing an insider perspective to all of the discussion, events and activities taking place in College Park, Md.
  2. During today's conference the winners of our 2012 writing contest were awarded prizes and @AlecBhamNews was crowned SFJ's new leader.
  3. On Friday afternoon SFJ members received a special guided tour at the Newseum in Washington, D.C. The field trip was well documented by #SFJ12 attendees.
  4. During the morning session, Jim Brady, editor-in-chief of Digital First Media, who oversees the editorial strategy of 75 daily newspapers, 292 non-daily publications and 341 websites, talked about life inside a digital news environment.
