1. We let people know about the live tweeting the day before, and peppered in some facts from other accounts to get #uofuKT up and running.
  2. Tweeting started early, and we made sure to set the tone of awareness early. 
  3. Once surgery began we posted pictures from the OR and a "play by play" of surgery. 
  4. We also included some interesting facts that those who may not have been in an OR before. 
  5. We highlighted patient safety procedures. 
  6. We also highlighted the teaching aspects of the surgery, with help from friends. 
  7. As the feed progressed we had people sharing their own experiences and giving feedback.
