  1. Rapper turned podcaster: Justin Baxley. "I used to write raps all throughout high school. They were all horrible. My rapper name was 'bax.st' because it says backstreet boys." Also an avid Taylor Swift fan, he says, "If Taylor Swift wants me to write for her, I'm available." #engageccj #nofilter

  2. "I have bragging rights to my son and all his achievements." Anne Foster. Anne is the proud mother of Michael Foster, a prospective Mercer University student. Why is Anne bragging? Because Michael is an Eagle Scout - the youngest in his troop - a Vox Communications writer and someone who is passionate about giving back to his community. Anne has done everything right to ensure her son's success - and is convinced of his very bright future! #engageccj #ProudMom

  4. "I figured out that I really just wanted to be a cultural ambassador for other planets." - Michelle Ferrier during the Media Changemaker Scholars event. She told our table a story about who she wanted to be as a child (an astronaut) verses where she ended up (a journalist). She says she ended up still being a "cultural ambassador for other planets" in a way, because through journalism she introduces people to new things every day. #engageccj #table5

  5. "I knew I wanted to do this since I was in 5th grade." These CCJ freshmen have embraced the "hit the ground running" philosophy and already done things like cover a Trump event from the media bullpen, produce a statewide public radio piece and publish a top-viewed video for media conglomerate McClatchy. #engageCCJ
