Heller excels in teaching physicians

Since 2004, the Heller School has offered an annual Leadership Program in Health Policy and Management for physician and surgeon leaders. The program is partially sponsored by the American College of Surgeons (ACS) and the Thoracic Surgery Foundation for Research and Education (TSFRE).

  2. Jon Chilingerian, director of the executive education programs at Heller, is an expert in organizational leadership and healthcare management.
  3. Stuart Altman, professor of national health policy and chair of the MA Health Policy Commission, is an integral contributor to Heller's executive education programs. He is an expert on (and a critical contributor to) the Affordable Care Act and been an advisor to five US presidents.
  4. Jody Hoffer Gittell is a leading expert on organizational behavior, high performance work systems and relational coordination. Gittell's research explores how workers, leaders and customers contribute to quality and efficiency outcomes through their coordination with each other. Executive education students learn the theory and practice behind developing effective and efficient teams.
