National Week of Action
Soon, the Supreme Court will make a decision in the case Arizona v. United States to determine whether or not Arizona's extreme anti-immigrant law SB 1070 will be upheld. National immigrant rights groups will take part in the National Week of Action to raise awareness about this historic case.
- Vigils are an important part of SB 1070's history. After Governor Jan Brewer signed the bill into law on April 23, 2010, activists sat outside the Arizona Capitol and hosted a vigil for 100 days. Vigils continue to be a way to show unity and support for those impacted by this harmful law even two years later.
