Pink Shirt Day

While Loyalist College students and staff honoured Pink Shirt Day, Canadians across the country did their part by using social media to spread the anti-bullying message on Feb. 25.

  1. Pink Shirt Day began with an article in the Globe and Mail about two teenagers who organized a protest to wear pink for a male student at their school who was bullied for wearing pink.
  2. Students at Loyalist are joining in and they are offering free manicures from 1 to 2 p.m. for anyone wearing pink.
  3. From there it has blown up and on February 25th people all over Canada are asked to wear pink to show that bullying will not be tolerated.
  4. Even man's best friend can take part.
  5. People across Canada are joining in.
