    Some misconceptions are fully formed and thought about. Many are not, stem from how brain works. These are primitives. #asp2012

    Example of primitive: closer means more. Keeps us from burning up and dying, but possible source of season misconception. #asp2012

    Have students explicitly explain Claims, Evidence, and Reasoning (CER). Hey, that's a helpful tool for skeptics in edu, too! #asp2012
