David Barr Sr. Passed Away Nov. 7
The captain with Community Fire Company of Perryville was 65.
- It is with deep regret we announce the Line of Duty Death of Lieutenant (ret) David Barr. Mr. Barr died as a result of injuries obtained while performing his duties as a Captain with the Community Fire Company of Perryville, MD. on the scene of a vehicle accident on October 25, when he was struck by another car and has been in intensive care since. Funeral arrangements have not yet been announced.
- Last month we made a post stressing the importance of the job that the Fire Police volunteers do. We highlighted the dangers they take on when trying to direct traffic, keeping the rest of the volunteers safe. We are so deeply saddened that one of the Fire Police volunteer Heroes from the Community Fire Company of Perryville has died from his injuries sustained from being hit by a motor vehicle almost two weeks ago, while he was directing traffic. The members at the Community Fire Company of Rising Sun want to let Mr. Barr's family, and his family at the Community Fire Company of Perryville know that our thoughts are with all of you at this time of sorrow. JY
- We would like to send our condolences to the family of David Barr, Jr. and The Community Fire Company of Perryville. We are with heavy hearts this evening knowing Mr. Barr succumbed to his injuries earlier today. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
