Granny's Cart: From drums to soup

Granny's weekly digest

  1. Dedicated to Italy and Lebanon, the home countries of my young ladies, @EFiumi and @Lea_k.
  2. Granny loves the drums. Also a nice nod to the Garifuna doc she's working on. Garifuna music often incorporates drums and turtle-shell percussion. Sometimes even claves, bottle percussion and a variety of shakers and scrapers.
  3. In honor of my Canon 60D, this is definitely worth re-posting. Foursquare does all their graphics in house...and they're, as these young ones say today, RAD.
  4. Granny's guilty pleasure is watching documentaries and trailers...put the two together and she's as happy as a tick on a fat dog.
  5. Facebook introduced its Timeline Movie Maker this week...A short biographical clip that sifts through your FB content, as some say, faster than green grass through a goose.
  6. Facebook's Timeline Movie Maker, Starring Your Jacked Ego bit.ly/xhYTz8
  7. Granny loves this video that plays with color/b+w and taps into Mary Poppins' knack for straightening things up...
  8. It reminded her of when Jessica Rabbit sang it in Who Framed Roger Rabbit back in 1988.
  9. And for a last giggle, one Granny dances to her nephew singing Rack City. Well, that just dilled my pickle!
  10. Til next time, ta-ta! And in the meantime, video up and stay healthy...maybe with a soup like this one from Nonna's Table (Nonna means grandmother in Italian):
