- #Methuen Mayor Stephen Zanni Issues State of Emergency Declaration as #MASandy approaches. Methuen Mayor Zanni has issued a State of Emergency for the City in anticipation of heavy winds that are moving in. Heavy damaging winds are expected beginning at 3:00 PM and extending for 12 – 18 hours.
The Mayor asks that all non-essential emergency personnel remain off City streets and inside suitable shelter. It is highly recommended that all NON-Emergency travel be avoided until the high winds have subsided.
