Home Run Derby and Metta World Peace have something in common: fighting
After fans complained about Chris Berman's yelling and Pit Bull's rapping, fans were entertained by a brawl in the stands at last night's Home Run Derby. Check out what went down!
- Watching the derby for home runs may not be for everyone, but how about watching it for fights? Right after a player caught the ball to throw infield, ESPN's footage showed what seems to have been two men fighting and two men trying to break the fight up.Take a look at the video below (fighting shown at 00:23 and 00:47).
- Sadly, this isn't the first time there has been a fight at the derby.
- On that note, Metta World Peace, formerly Ron Artest, says he's signing to the New York Knicks. How is he relevant to the derby? He's known for starting a fight with fans during a 2004 Indiana Pacers v. Detroit Pistons game. The fight resulted in his suspension from the rest of the season. Two of his teammates also missed 55 games under some of the NBA's harshest penalties.
