Designing online engagement to collaborate with your community

Here's my final Storify'd version of a Nonprofit Technology Conference session (#12NTC) organized by NTEN. This session focused on online engagement as a means to collaborate with your community. I'm afraid I wasn't able to capture too many tweets but the ones I did are worth sharing.

  1. The presenters were Debra Askance, Vanessa Rhinesmith and Amy Sample Ward. It also feature plenty of small group discussions.
  2. Now at #12NTCCollab - Designing Online Engagement to Collaborate with Your Community but there are 2 other sessions I also wanted to be in
  3. Staffing to support community is a keystone to collaborating with them. #12ntcCollab
  4. RT @88perry: 'the social media funnel mirrors real-life relationships" engage=trust=action #12ntc #12ntccollab
  5. 4 components of tie strength: trust time reciprocity intensity > basic relationship theory #12NTCCollab #socialmedia
  6. @askdebra: Trust your audience to show you what they're interested in, then integrate it into your strategy #12ntccollab #12ntc
  7. #12NTCCollab It all comes down to commitment. People can tell if you are intentionally building relationships.
