I Left My Old iOS in San Francisco
It's June 11th, the day we have all been waiting for. Apple is expected to reveal a slew of new products at the Worldwide Developers Conference (#WWDC) in San Francisco. For those of us Apple addicts who aren't lucky enough to attend the conference, we can predict, revel, and react from home.
- iOS6? OS X Mountain Lion? Retina display screen? Rumors are rampant and tweeps are getting excited about the big day ahead.
- Finally, 1:00pm EST and the festivities have begun.
- Tim Cook declares that "...what we do together is much more important than any numbers could reflect. Our goal has always been to do great work, and make a difference in other people's lives." He continues, declaring that there are some heartwarming stories out there thanks to Apple hardware and software: "Let's roll it."
- RT @IanRobinson: Cool. One of the first things in Apple’s WWDC Keynote is a blind man using an iPhone to help navigate. Showing that accessibility is key.
- Okay Apple, we're completely hooked on your products, message, and foresight. Suspense is building-- show us what's new.
- Tim Cook invites Phil Schiller on stage to talk Notebooks.
- Thinness, demonstrated by Phil Schiller. Nice, right? #wwdc2012 yfrog.com/od2c5gvej
- The new MacBook Pro model has a new asymmetrical fan blades creating sounds at different frequencies so the laptop is quieter...pretty cool.
- Redesigning the fan inside the new MBP is the kind of thought that Apple puts into hardware that keeps them ahead of the curve. #wwdcnerds
- You may be thinking:
- Well,
- Some are impressed by the MBP price considering all the new specs but many are outraged and are now declaring allegiance with the new MacBook Air instead. MPA gets 3rd generation core chips, up to 2GHz dual-core i7, 512 GB Flash storage, 2x read speed and USB 3 (though still, no disc drive). The new MPA unfortunately does not have a Retina screen but we'll gladly take the new price as conciliation.
