  3. Simon has several key points to make during our session but also welcomes your questions. First point coming up now... #CoPWorkshop
  4. Point 1: Preparation is key! Ensure you've watched the programme/channel beforehand, and are familiar with the output. #CoPWorkshop
  5. @BBCCoP What sort of things should you bring with you when interviewing for a TV job? What sort of questions will you be asked? #CoPWorkshop

  8. @BBCCoP How do you try and sell yourself without sounding like you enjoy the inside of your own posterior. #CoPworkshop
  9. @MissClark1201 Keep it factual, talk passionately about what you did well on a project, rather than what you think about yrself #CoPWorkshop
  10. @BBCCoP I worked hard on my CV and it lands me many junior job interviews, but I always end up underselling myself. Any tips? #CoPWorkshop
  11. @jomeadowcroft Don't be modest, talk about what YOU actually did & be proud of it. #CoPWorkshop
  12. @BBCCoP If you are interviewing for a light entertainment job should you try and be funny or remain fairly sensible throughout the interview
  13. @Batty_Broadcast Funny can be misconstrued - keep it professional. You're there for a job, not chatting with a friend. #CoPWorkshop
  14. @MattPritchard8 Go by the job description & demonstrate your relevant experience. If the jd is vague ask for more info. #CoPWorkshop
  15. When answering questions such as for bbc applications, how important is it to specifically refer to terms in the question? #copworkshop
  16. @Kevinsatizabal Make sure the question is answered and that the points are covered in your answer. You don't need to use jargon #CoPWorkshop
  17. @BBCCoP hi simon! i'm a final year business student. Would my degree be valued at all in this industry? Thanks! #CoPWorkshop
  18. @MrLemard Absolutely! TV is a business, think about your transferrable skills - budgeting, planning, people management #CoPWorkshop
  19. How can you draw the line between funny and offensive at interview? Sachsgate being a key example #CoPWorkshop
  20. @Batty_Broadcast Be professional, don't assume anything about the interview panel. What's 'offensive' can be v subjective. #CoPWorkshop
  21. Point 2. Know the job - you may want to be a researcher, but if you're interviewing for a Prod Asst role, prepare accordingly. #CoPWorkshop
  22. @BBCCoP i'm interested in the BBC production traineeship. I have some experience in film/media but not LOADS. How can i show passion?
  23. @MrLemard Focus on what you've done, get involved with TV & radio as much as possible, blog, write & watch TV! #CoPWorkshop
  24. @BBCCoP What would impress you the most in an interview? #CoPWorkshop
